You are unique. And whilst your genes may shape the stage you start on, it’s your life that influences how the play unfolds.

Origins

A standalone genetic insight package designed to help you
understand where your health patterns begin.

book a call

Bringing together detailed DNA analysis with an exploration of your diet, lifestyle, and lived experience allows us to understand how your body functions, and where support can make the most difference. Your DNA offers a key reference point for truly personalised care - informing a bespoke plan that reflects how your body is wired and how it responds to the world around it.

Shape your diet and lifestyle around your body’s genetic foundations.

Advances in genetics are changing how we understand health and personalised care. Genetic testing allows us to look more closely at your DNA - the chemical instructions present in every cell of the body that influence how we process nutrients, generate energy, detoxify, repair, and respond to our environment.

Within our DNA are common variations known as SNPs (single nucleotide polymorphisms). These small differences don’t cause illness on their own, but they can influence how efficiently certain processes in the body function - such as how nutrients are used, how detoxification pathways work, or how cells respond to stress and inflammation. When considered together, these variations can help explain patterns in energy, mood, immune balance, and long-standing health tendencies.

Nutrigenomics explores how nutrition, lifestyle, and environmental factors interact with these genetic variations. While your genes provide a starting point, it’s how they are influenced by the life you live that shapes health outcomes over time. This is why genetic insight is most powerful when considered alongside diet, lifestyle, and lived experience - allowing for care that is informed, flexible, and responsive, rather than fixed or predictive.

GENETICS AND NUTRIGENOMICS

This package can be undertaken as a standalone piece of work, or alongside other personalised support.

There is no fixed pathway - the right starting point depends on where you are and what you’re looking for.

Some people choose to begin here, using genetic insight to help guide the focus of their care from the outset. Others prefer to start with To Start or To Sustain, weaving DNA insight in at a later stage if and when it feels useful.

This work can be a valuable starting point for adults looking to better understand long-standing or lifelong health patterns, and how their body uniquely responds to diet, lifestyle, and environmental influences. It is often particularly helpful for those who feel they’ve reached a plateau independently, or where other approaches they have tried haven’t fully explained what’s going on.

Assessment of key metabolic pathways, including nutrient metabolism, methylation, detoxification, hormone pathways, and repair mechanisms. Results are analysed through an integrative lens.

Frequently asked questions

What does the test involve?

The test is a simple, non-invasive mouth swab that you complete at home. You’ll need to avoid eating or drinking for one hour beforehand. The sample is collected using a cheek swab and returned in the prepaid envelope provided (UK). No special storage is required. For international returns, postage is arranged by the client.

Who can be tested?

Anyone can be tested, including children with parental or guardian consent. As your genes are fixed from birth, age does not affect the results. You only need to be tested once — what changes over time is how lifestyle and environment influence how your genes are expressed.

Do you test for specific genetic conditions?

No. This test does not screen for medical or disease-specific genetic mutations. These types of tests are used for diagnosis within medical settings. The focus here is on understanding functional genetic tendencies and how they may influence health.

Is my data safe?

Yes. Your data and DNA sample are handled with care and stored securely at every stage. Once your sample is received by the laboratory, all personal identification is removed and replaced with a barcode. Your test is used solely to generate your report, which is shared only with me as your authorised practitioner.
All testing is carried out in an ISO-certified UK laboratory. DNA samples are destroyed within three months, and all genetic data is marked for deletion shortly after, with complete removal within six months. Your DNA, data, and report are never shared with or sold to third parties.
